Does anyone have any suggestions on how to shut my five month old girl Tess up. She is so noisy and its not a cute noise either. Like a high pitched squeel. We have an older two year old 'Poo (Button) who is incredibly well behaved (apart from being a tad bouncy), but Tess makes this god-awful noise, especially when we are out, all the time. kt x

Read this article and then this one, practice them at the same time, they may do the trick. If not, there is a harmless collar with a bark sensor that sprays a puff of air toward the dog, startling her out of barking. But do try these free techniques first. Regards, Ed

Thanks Ed. I like the idea of a light spray to the face.

Mine is 2 now. I hated all the methods of trying to stop his barking...I can't take it anymore so I finally started with a spray bottle of water. Def helping! This is a dog that swims!! But hates the spray bottle!!
