Hi there, my 11 week old puppy has just developed dandruff and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips to sort this? We were at the vet just a few days ago for final vaccinations and I asked the vet about it but he said as there wasn't much it wasn't a problem and nothing to worry about. Since then the dandruff has definitely gotten worse and as it is new year my vet is closed for a few days. I don't want to go running to the vet with every little problem anyway but would like some advice. I have read that it could be due to poor quality dog food but I'm using what the breeder recommended and all reviews of the food comment on how great it has been for dogs skin and coat plus I have had him over 3 weeks now so if it was food would it not have appeared before now? I brush him daily and he does not appear to be uncomfortable, scratching or anything like that but obviously I want to sort this problem for him. I have not bathed him since noticing the dandruff as I have read conflicting advice about this and I know it's not great to bathe dogs too often anyway. Any advice would be greatly appreciated :) thank you.

Sorry I should probably also add that I have just finished a worming treatment with this mornings treatment being the last and also around a week and a half ago he finished a course of antibiotics for colitis, initial treatment also included a steroid injection to reduce inflammation. colitis has now cleared and worming was just a regular update. Thanks again
